i Landed on a planet called... VENUS!

"HOUSTON, we have it on radar! roger that!"

when was the last time you saw a (straight) guy bought a magazine (for women) from a magazine stand? some might surprised because its not natural for us to buy those kind of materials. some would suggest that WE should drool more into sports, politics, fitness, ForHimMagazines, porno, music reviews, Guns and automobiles. these are reading materials that you can mostly find in our own private racks or perhaps in our closet. in my stack you might see some magazines which are not likely for men to read. but i enjoy reading them... and its worth keeping it for generations to come. here are some of 'em:

its hard to understand women now adays. i remembered a nameless girl character once said in the movie entitled "My Sassy Girl" "..you(men) dont understand women!" it always ends up MEN as the "insesensitive geekz" while women ends up they are always misunderstood. but with the help of these readables mainly for women, it brings forth more thoughts and ideas about girls and what THEY thought about guys. MORE ideas mean more and better understanding with them. these mags solutionized its way to be heard and educate US for being who they are in a different prespective and on fields like fashion, emotion, health, business, sports, hobbies, friendships, relationships, religion, sex and PMS. they give us also hint answers on our own questions as on "bakit ba pabagobago ang isip ng mga babae?" and the most frequently used excuse such as "eh talagang ganito kami eh!" and "gusto ko eh, bakit bah?"

there are quite few articles i read in some of men's magazines about women/girls that are dedicated for guyz to read. but some of them are written by a GUY'S own view about women. its a different story on women's readables. here they tacle more about THEIR OWN LIVES as a girlfiend, a teenyboper, a responsible citizen, girl stories from all walks of life and as the most populated beings in the country. and its a sure shot they were written 100 % on woman's point of view.

after i discovered their PLANET (venus), they made me LOVE them more as a whole. additionally, it teaches me to value communication. because i discovered that a failure to communicate with them would make the TWO planets clash in an EPIC battle as friends, co-workers, busmates, seatmates, schoolmates and in a commitment. and who knows? i might be a father 10 years from now, atleast handa ako kapag nagkaroon ako ng anak na babae.

...HeaLtH nAmAn TaYo! Good News or a Bad News?

on behalf of all the Non-smokers... here's something i found interesting?

and on behalf of smokers... here's something for you to smile on!

im a nursing student. every health related issues concerns me that much. to be aware and to be globally equiped with a new health info are some of the nurse should have in order to advocate something that might save a person's life.

Isang Araw...
i stumble upon my band mate smoking a new brand of cigarette. i said "wow! asenso na ah! iba na tinitira nyo ngayon ha!" since all of them three are smokers and me, a non smoker. jijaw(vocalist) said.. "oo! di mo ba alam, 35 pesos ang isang kaha nito!" (sabay hithit ng yosi with some kinda class..) "patingin nga!" i demanded..

this i found nothing to that pack of cigarette that made it expensive! comparing to "gudhanggarang"(tama ba spelling) and "davidoff" its no different to "fortune" and some local cigarettes available in the street. hanggang sa huli, hindi ako makapaniwala.

untill they(my bandmates) decided to buy 4 packs of it before we all gonna ride home a jeepney.
i later found out that it costs only... P7.00 / pack! WHAAAAAATTT!!!!! or so to speak... 35 centavos per stick! Good Lord!!!!! i was shocked! i didnt expected a cigerette would be priced by that LOW... this will be MORE available to any smoker. and they would never say a cigarette would not be so "Budget pain" when it costs that less..

The real Score:
well... for me, kung magiging ganyan ka baba ang presyo ng yosi, hindi na nila ito iintindihin na isang basic commodity for some smokers. eventually, tataas ang bilang ng maninigarilyo. halos pati ako mismo maninigarilyo na rin. (nyekz! no can do! hehehe) dadami ang magkakasakit, low quality of life, babagsak ang employment then after that babagsak ang economiya lalo. kasi halos lahat na ng tao nagkakasakit. yah, i heard the reason... "its ok to smoke, we'll die naman one way or another e.." see? that's so very positive of you.. ano pang silbi namin kung ganito din lang ang pananaw ng ibang tao.. im not trying to say im a 100% healthy being! but im trying to be one... kahit na may mga hadlang like pollution, new viruses, stress, and hunger. atleast this will be a challenge to be MORE healthy. we cant live forever but atleast we could prolong it. isnt so nice to see your great great grand children?

believe it or not... its P7.00 / pack. mura noh? tsk... wow..

It aLwaYs starTs wiTh a niCe, hoT cup Of CoFfeE.

de caf at its finest...
my friend jeff & i had a habit on staying up late every night. we consider coffee as our gasoline. we usually start to make our own coffee at around 12mn. matching it up with some of the exquisite biscuits around the "suking tindahan". grahams, bingo and skyflakes to name
a few. we'll sit outside enjoying the silence and the cold ambiance of the night. talk almost endlessly. debating and arguing anything that could spiced up our minds were the moon and the stars are audiences. we simply enjoy talking. sometimes worries are left aside
or subsiding when we talk e. we talked about health issues, faith and books. minsan naman, we talked about the future, our life after 10 years. the life of our siblings and parents after 10 years, the life of our friends after 10 years, and the life of every filipino after 10 years. minsan din naman, nag babalik tanaw kami sa nakaraan. good or bad, pinag uusapan namin ng lantaran and examine ourselves how much we've grown and atleast trying to identify ourselves every after five years starting from being kids. past is past but some memories are worth reviving for pass gas experiences! hehehe!

ang madalas masarap na isawsaw sa mainit na kape ay...

ang isa sa pinaka walang kamatayang premise namin ay
ang "LoVE LiFe". it may be our own or from the experiences of our friends. nakakasawa but thought provoking! yes, you can call us sentimental fools. sino bang hindi? (calculus! wag ka ng humirit! we know, we know, we know...) hehehehe.....!as soon as the premise for LOVE has been spread out, we were soon be caught in a serious make over of our faces. the smiles died down and the spirit of our hot cups of coffee freezed out in minutes. we tend to question ourselves at first and patch things up the way arguements are supposed to be practiced. but then again, no matter how hard we find the answers, only time can reveal it. patience really is a virtue.

the aroma...

at the end of three to four hours of talking, arguing, laughing, praying, cursing, joking around and debating, the part we trully enjoyed most was not the part were number of coffee cups we finished (for the record, 4 cups is THE MOST!) nor the part were questions are
thrown to each other but for that of every priceless moments there's a friend who listens.

a good listener understand things more clearly than talking
too much. i mean, every one of us LOVES to talk, but only a few loves to listen
.

some people claiming they're misunderstood by many but if they could just confide their feelings to a person or to a friend, they will surely find a home and perhaps you'll scrap the thought were you we're misunderstood by most. ang sarap kasi ng pakiramdam yung tipong kahit alam mong may isandaang taong hindi maka intindi sa'yo pero meron at mayroon pa ring taong makikinig sayo para intindihin lahat ng nararamdaman mo, dibe napaka fulfilling na nun?

"to be great is to be misunderstood."
-excerpt "On Self-Reliance" by ralph waldo emerson-

come to think of it, so many fightings, hatreds and unpeaceful signs or thoughts we experience these past few days... but isnt so nice to talk it over first with a cup of coffee before hasty decisions are served than having a gun in our hands? para pag nagalit ka, buhos mo lang yung kape sa kausap mo e lapnos na balat niya.. hahahahahah!!! just kidding!

practice listening. it can help you find something or
someone worth keeping.
