Cake

The music that triggers my nerves to feel relaxed was "The Blower's Daughter" by Damien Rice

"...And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time

And so it is

The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky..."

I just had my birthday last May 23rd. It went great! Despite the unextravagant of the meal I prepared, it turned out so well and it isn't just happy. Napaka simple lang. For the first time in my history, walang birthday cake.

However, the people who greeted me before and after that day, was more sweet than the icing. The cream and the springkle of M&M's on the cake was figuretively provided by my band mates who were present from lunch time until night. We sang our hearts out with the magic sing. astig!

Pangit ang cake kapag walang mga icing na bulaklak at cherries! These are my friends from the blog, updharmadown yahoo groups and iya & bianca forums.

The cake base itself was my family and The Almighty One. Need not to explain more.

Then the candle was figuretively my twenty four years of experiences, hardships, trials, errors , dreams, love, and hopes.

Birthdays were not just a time for celebrations, foods and drinks. It was also a time to reflect about the year that was and the years that will come. This will help you understand and be sensitive to your own life as well.

Like some people do proclaim, "Life starts at 24!"

Well, honestly, I feel like 21! =)

Sa mga mahal ko, minahal ko, at mamahalin ko, salamat! =)

Salumpwit

The music that sways my mood right now: "Somewhere, Somehow" by Michael W. Smith & Amy Grant

"...Somewhere far beyond today
I will find a way to find you
And somehow thru the lonely nights
I will leave a light in the dark
Let it lead you to my heart..."

For Nearly 18 years, this sofa you see above and below, served as a silent friend to my family, friends and visitors. This was once a very comfortable sofa. built with very cozy exteriors and fluffy interiors. In most occassions, I land here for a quick nap or sometimes when i can't seem to sleep on my own bed at night.

Like most of the things you will see in our home, it has its own secrets to tell. So many times it has served as a drinking sessions seat. Were one of my bandmate threw up and unfortunately I was the one who cleaned It.

There are times it has served as film marathons in the morning untill the break of dawn. When things are getting legally intimate and romantic, this sofa served as their best friend for many relationships. This was the sofa were I had my first and last kiss. =)

And of course, countless of sleep-overs have been successfully happened in it. Minsan
kapag may bisita at walang matulugan, heto ang first and last option ng mga "tulo laway gang" ! haha! (at nag salita ang hindi tulo laway!)

Well, I can't seem to remember if it also catered
a celebrity. If a valedictorian and an engineer board second top notcher and a number of government personalies are counted, then I guess it does. Pero ang nakakatuwa, they were all commoners. Status quo are not valid when you seat in it. The seat allows you to be who you are.

It looks so simple, right? That's the weapon:simplicity!

This seat has also been a witness to alot of
fights, misunderstandings, sour
relationships,
legal matters, consultations, loud farts, crying moments, love problems, government issues, surveys, prayer meetings, ghosts, soul searchings, heart aches, celebrations, reconciliations, christmas, birthdays, new years, cold summer nights, goodbyes, iloveyous, love at first sights, strangers, hybernations and band practices.

If there's one lesson I've learned from it, it would be the way on
how this piece of furniture embraces everything and everyone from all the walks of life? I learned to embrace diversity.

For what its worth, this seat is priceless.
