Behind The Advertisement & The Music

The music that lingers inside my head: "Learning To Breathe" by Switchfoot

"...Hello, good morning, how you do?
What makes your rising sun so new?
I could use a fresh beginning too
All of my regrets are nothing new
So this is the way that I say I need You
This is the way that I'm..

Learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies..."

Signatured Song that made it through Commercials and Ads are making air-waves these past few days! Like for example this song by Airsupply that was amplified for a sanitary napkin. I can't remember if its kotex or whisper.

"...I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
thinking of you till it hurts.."

I mean, there's got to be a connection between the song and the ad! And so after a ver very boring day, me and my brother, Curt, comes up with a little twists through one of the OPM hits of these past few weeks. We co-relate the songs to their most-likely advertisements we practically see on TV. If you know these songs below, we gaved you a plot on how to do it! Check them out!

Ask Yourself....

Currently boosting up my ears: Cunnie Williams' "Suddenly It's Magic"

"...I feel so free,
It’s like a fantasy
Havin’ you next to me
Suddenly it’s magic

One look, one touch
Once just don’t say enough
When you fall in love
Suddenly, suddenly it’s magic..."

When I found or encounter a friend I ask this simple yet complex question:

"What is it like being you?"

They ended up answering me like this:

"Ano ka ba chigo! ibang tanong naman!"
"Di ako si Einstein FEERYUD!"
"Aynaku! chigo! layuan moko!"
"Ahh.. was that a quote or a question"
"Ewan ko ba kung kelan niya ako kakausapin."
"ha? ahh.. ano nga ba yung tanong mo?"

"Napanood ko na yan! Pelikula ni Pepsi Paloma yan!"
"It depends on your mood!"
"Tanong ba yan mamaya sa exam?"
"Bagong kanta yan ng Sexbomb dancers diba?"
"Ginagago mo ba ako?"
"Iligo mo lang yan!"
"Wa ako sey jan, manay!"

When I attempt to answer this question personally, I can't find the right words for me to answer.
Perhaps, It's because this question will make you judge yourself. We tend to judge others easily but not ourselves.

Sige nga... I'm asking you the same question:

What is it like being you?

Not Your Usual Raymond Lauchengco's Farewell Song.

Ahh.. so hot! hot! hot!
March & April are the usual months for reminiscing, alumni, gatherings with old friends & commencement rites aside hitting the pool and the beaches all over the country.

Last March 24, I attended my brother's Commencement Exercises for Highschool. Siyempre, like most graduations, it was started by Baccalaureate Mass followed by the rites proper. I
took some photos while waiting for my brother's name to be called:

Ever wondered why gradeschool & Highschool grads wore "white" togas?

A photo could speak a thousand words!

Then out of boredom, I instead reminsc some of the highlights of my HS Graduation. I remembered our graduation song "Teacher's Enemy Number One" by JuanDelaCruz Band. wehehe! I wish it was the one we sang. But it wasn't. It was "In Our Hands" by hhmm.. I forgot the composer.

If I could choose two songs perfect for March & April, I definitely going to dedicate Eve 6's "Here's To The Night" & Alanis Morrisette's "You Learn". Since majority of you are already familiar to Alanis', I posted Eve 6's song instead.

So denied so I lied are you the now or never kind
In a day and a day love I'm gonna be gone for good again
Are you willing to be had are you cool with just tonight
Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye
Tomorrow's gonna come too soon

Put your name on the line along with place and time
Wanna stay not to go I wanna ditch the logical
Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye
Tomorrow's gonna come too soon

All my time is froze in motion
Can't I stay an hour or two or more
Don't let me let you go
Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well
