The UNCUT VERSION of...

The music that lingers right now... "Butterscotch" by Eraserheads

"you can take me to the prom, promise not to tell your mom
moma never tells you why, why she kicked you in the eye
i dont think she understands, i just wanna hold your hands
i dont even own a car, so we couldnt get that far..."

Foreword:
I was dissapointed two times when our adviser from our school's newsletter (Chronicles) deliberately edited my article. why two times? first, my article was supposed to be published last two months ago. But due to some unexplained reasons, she scrap out my article and promised that it will be published after christmas break. Then christmas break came, my article was published. But only to find out that it was edited leaving me uninformed about it. Nasira tuloy yung timpla ng article ko. Sa sobrang edited, the article turned out to be bland and very ordinary. Let me share it to you the un edited one.... (all students who are taking or took up nursing can somehow relate to what i have used as metaphor

Juan Dela Cruz: I'm sick!

What if you can diagnose the people we see in our country? Specifically with the use of some of the preferred Nursing Diagnoses provided by Nanda.

In order for us to be more interested on studying to different medical fields, try co-relating it to what you percieve or on what you can assess to the environment. Or perhaps to our unending problems. This can help you two things at the same time: to learn and to determine different approaches to a particular problem.

Below are some of my subjective and objective assessment/s to the people we see around us:

Activist & Rallyist: Hopelessness related to unsatisfaction.

"Maki baka! Paalisin si Glorya!" For them, there is no hope they could have for the current president. Astounding increases to the basic commodities and shameful non-increase to the salaries of a common man. Where do we go from here? Indeed, Bob Marley instilled a very powerful message to all of us that's why the existence of activists and rallyists were in streets up to now. "get up, stand up! stand up for your right! get up, stand up! don't give up the fight!" ironically, it is a song of hope.

Workers of the minimum wage: Sleep deprivation related to home problems as evidenced by unpaid expenses and balances.

Every 15th day of every month, Pay slips are ready for dessimination. But as the joke for the name itself implies that after hours and days of work for the PAY, it SLIPS from your hands as fast as you can say "Havaianas"! Compromised sleeping nights affected by the personal problems of accounts and balances from water to the electricity to everyday ride fare and everyday food allowances. No wonder people from these group are getting used to be nocturnals. It's really hard to earn these days from a salary they get. Nevertheless, people tends to say "Okay na rin yun, kaysa sa wala!"

(Some) Public Servants: Role Performance, ineffective

No need to seek related factors for proofs.

(Some) Students: Coping, ineffective related to unincreased "baon" and cellfone load, shopping reasons and gimiks risk for lies and stealing.

Funny? Certainly, yet it's true that it is happening. I don't take this against anyone because I have friends who were in this kind of problems too before. My only point is that it's not hard to ask. However if our parents say no then we have to understand life for what it is as we see and feel today. Some of you might say its easy for me to say these things. Well it is, because experience is the best teacher. I hope this will be a wakeup call to us. Karma has it's own sweet ways to get something from you. Not now, not tommorrow but someday.

Well... atleast dito man lang sa journal ko ma published ko man lang yung totoong version. I'll post the edited one next time para ma compare kung gaano ka laki at kung gaano ito na chop-chop without my consent. Besides, its an opinionated article. I was expecting edit from some words but not the toatility of it. haaayyy... kainiz talaga... oh well...
